FACET3D - Facility Assessment and Consequence Evaluation Tool, is a software code that combines blast load prediction and building damage modeling into a quick running tool for engineers, security analysts, and site planners. FACET3D models high explosive and vapor cloud explosions and predicts the overpressures and damage to surrounding objects. Results are displayed in a 3D graphical environment.

  • Pressure and impulse on each model surface are calculated

  • User blast loads feature allows any type of threat that can be defined
  • Ability to duplicate threats along a path around a building, such as a curb, such that all possible threat locations are considered

  • Vapor cloud explosion methods allow many different flammable gasses and only require minimal inputs such as cloud congestion and confinement
