Facet requires Rhino 8 and an up-to-date version of the EleFront Plugin to run. You can install EleFront directly through Rhino’s native Package Manager:
- Open the Package Manager Launch Rhino 8. In the command line at the top of the screen, type
PackageManagerand press Enter. - Type eleFront into the search bar.
- Select the EleFront package (not eleFront-Rhino-6-Legacy) from the search results. In the version dropdown menu on the right, ensure the most recent version is selected, then click Install.
- Restart Rhino 8. The next time you open Grasshopper, the Elefront components will be loaded and ready to use.
Uninstalling Older Versions
If you are upgrading from an older version of EleFront (such as eleFront-Rhino6-Legacy, v4), you must remove it first. In the Package Manager window, navigate to the Installed tab. Look for any existing instances of eleFront or eleFront Legacy. Select the package and click Uninstall. (If you uninstalled an old version, restart Rhino before proceeding).
