Staggered Vertical Fins

A single-skin facade system utilizing vertical fins arranged in a staggered, checkerboard configuration. Shorter fin profiles allow for the integration of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) along the horizontal spandrel bands concealing the floor slabs, whereas deeper fin extensions can be specified to deliver more effective passive shading.

Setup instructions:

Download the .GH Framework script.
Open Rhino, launch Grasshopper, and open the script.
Assign the name GH_Facet Facade to the surface or polysurface you want to apply the facade to. (Under Properties: Object > Name)
