1. Introduction At Facet (a product of Hopific), your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website. As a company based in the Netherlands, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / Dutch AVG).

2. What Data We Collect & Our Legal Basis We collect only the data necessary to provide our service. Our legal basis for processing this data is the performance of a contract (providing you with your subscription) and our legitimate interest in maintaining the security of our service.

  • Account Information: Name and Email address. We use this to create your account, provide access to the scripts, and communicate with you regarding your subscription.

  • Payment Information: We do not collect or store your credit card details. All payments are securely processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, who acts as their own Data Controller for your payment data to comply with global tax laws.

3. Data Sharing & International Transfers We share your data only with strictly vetted third-party service providers necessary to operate Facet:

  • Memberstack: Handles user authentication and secure logins.

  • Lemon Squeezy: Processes payments and handles invoicing.

  • Hostinger: Hosts our website infrastructure. Because some of our partners (like Lemon Squeezy and Memberstack) are based in the United States, your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We ensure these transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or other legally valid GDPR transfer mechanisms.

4. Data Retention We retain your account information (Name and Email) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain transaction records for tax and accounting purposes (usually 7 years under Dutch law).

5. Cookies Our website uses only “strictly necessary” cookies. These are essential technical cookies required for the website to function—specifically to keep you logged into your Memberstack account and to allow Lemon Squeezy to process your checkout securely. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data Security We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration, including the use of SSL encryption and secure third-party infrastructure.

7. Your GDPR Rights Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Request correction of inaccurate data.

  • Request deletion of your personal data.

  • Restrict or object to our processing of your data.

  • Request data portability.
