When you buy Facet, you receive a license key by email. The same key covers all seats tied to the license.
Floating seats
Facet licences use floating seats. A seat is how many people can use Facet at the same time, not how many computers it’s installed on.
- Install Facet on as many computers as you like. Everyone in the office uses the same key.
- A seat is taken when someone opens a facade in Facet, and freed when they close it. If Rhino crashes, the seat frees itself after a short while.
- If every seat is in use, Facet tells you. Once someone else closes Facet, you can continue.

Activating your licence
- New installation: open the gallery, choose Enter a license key, and paste your key.
- Switching from a trial: open Facet Settings → License → Enter Different Key and paste your key. Your work isn’t affected.

Checking your licence
Facet Settings → License shows your licence status, plan, seats and key.
Adding seats
Write to support@facet3d.com with your licence key or the email used for the purchase, and the number of seats you need. Your office keeps the same key, so nobody has to re-enter anything.
Billing and cancelling
You manage your subscription in Facet itself: open Facet Settings → License → Manage Billing. This opens your billing portal, where you can:
- update your payment method;
- download invoices;
- cancel your subscription.
When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Until then, Facet works as normal.
When a subscription ends
At the end of the paid period:
- Everything you’ve baked stays yours. Facades baked into your Rhino models are ordinary Rhino geometry. You can open, edit, export and draw from those files forever, with or without Facet.
- Facet stops creating new facades. The controller shows that your subscription has ended, and Facet Settings → License shows Subscription ended.
- Facades that were never baked won’t regenerate without an active licence, so bake anything you want to keep before your subscription ends.
